About Longview Farm

Longview Farm offers grass fed/grass finished beef (Angus) and woodland-raised (grain-fed) Berkshire pork .

Our livestock is USDA slaughtered and processed, vacuum packed and wrapped frozen. We sell meats by the cut, as well as cured/smoked pork products (salami, bacon, sausage, and smoked ham). We also offer custom meat orders (whole/half/quarters — seasonally.) We arrange for transportation to slaughter and process, and delivery to customers. Our meat is dry-aged for a minimum of 14 days.

Where to Buy

Longview Farm delivers to some neighborhoods: Capitol Hill, Downtown Washington D.C., Cleveland Park, Palisades, Waldorf, Accokeek, and Fort Washington.

Farm Production System

Our cattle are grass fed and grass finished, born and bred on the farm. Pastured for life, they are moved to fresh pasture twice daily and are fed hay in the winter. They have free choice access to 15 different individual minerals, salt and kelp. Our Berkshire pigs are rotated through oak, maple, beech and poplar forest and fed freshly mixed non-medicated barley/wheat feed. Grass-fed (cattle), grain-fed (pigs); pasture raised, naturally and humanely raised, antibiotics used only when medically necessary, no growth implants, never fed animal byproducts. Egg laying chickens are rotated daily through the pasture after the cows.

Longview farm is approved by SlowFoodDC
